Ok, so you've put yourself on the government's "Do not call" list, but you're still getting crazy phone calls / message?
We're getting, approximately every few weeks, some sort of offer to lower credit card interest rates. It's a recorded voice, which leaves no return information, simply to press "1" to talk to a live operator. Since I'm actually home during the day, I decided to press "1", so I could tell them to stop bothering me during my sleeping hours, and that it's illegal to call me. I asked for their name and company info, and was promptly hung up on. Can you say scam? (Not like that wasn't obvious by the time I picked up the phone, caller ID said "Unavailable", which you already suspect is a telemarketing auto-dialer.... plus they shouldn't be calling if they're actually reputable.)
Now it's a challenge. They appear to be overseas most likely if my recent attempt to glean information was any indication. The line quality was so poor, they couldn't hear me. I'm personally trying to get any sort of contact info on them.... just to sick the government on them. Wish me luck, and may we all be freed from husslers of any sorts.
