Nope, I'm getting better. I feel happy!
Seriously though, real life same old same old. Can't say that much exciting ever really happens around here. I got to work five days a week at a basically 40 hour a week job. I go around on a forklift all day picking product to be shipped out to our customers. Whooptee.
I get home, plop in front of the computer, start up World of Warcraft, and play one of my many characters, hang out with an entire guild of friends in the game, and once my wife comes home, she logs on and does the same. Some nights we even forget to have supper.
Happened to look into something the other day, and discovered I've been playing this game for over three years now. It's gone through many many patches to increase or change the game, as well as one full expansion pack, with a second on the way. It is by far the largest game of its type ever created. Prior to this, the big game was Everquest (also known as Evercrack). It had a huge following.... and it was what Blizzard looked to in deciding how many people would likely play their new game World of Warcraft. What they forgot to take into account was that they are a much better liked company, they hit when Everquest was becoming old hat, and they made the game very easy to get into, and just as hard or harder to put down. As such, when the game first came out, there were so many people trying to play that the servers were overwhelmed. It took Blizzard nearly a year to fully compensate for the popularity of the game, which was probably two, three, maybe even ten times what they expected and planned for. By all accounts, noone predicted it would be as popular as it became so quickly.
But anyway.... for those really wanting to keep track of me, you'll look in the World of Warcraft, on the server Bloodhoof. Lookup a guild named RKoD (Royal Knights of Death), and find a character (any character) in that guild that starts with a Q. That will be me.. plugging away at making whatever that toon is more and more powerful within the game, or at least utilizing their skills to further my other toons. If I'm not there, just ask anyone in the guild about Q. I'm pretty sure noone there would be unfamiliar with who I am, unless they're very new to the guild themselves.
