Forklift + Water Main + Stupid Coworker = ???

One of my coworkers today broke off a pipe on the water main that feeds the sprinkler system. One word : MESS. I spent two hours just myself using our floor scrubber as a large vaccuum, probably emptying it out close to 20 times. If you've ever seen that commercial for ServPro, you may remember their motto : "Like it never even happened". I'll get back to you on that, to see if they're really that good, as the boss called them in.

Fortunately the water spread out, so it was nowhere deeper than an inch, which with everything on about a three inch pallet means no product damage that I'm aware of. The server room was spared in part due to quick thinking, but the front office and sales office both got some very wet carpet from the water flooding under the door.

My shoes were soaked, my socks were soaked. Fortunately I was wearing shorts, so I didn't have to deal with wet pant legs. (Yes, I'm in Minnesota... yes I'm still wearing shorts. It got up to about 74 today) If it had been what would be considered a normal temperature out, getting to my car would have been ugly. Not as ugly for me as for others, as I won the close parking spot for the month, which means it's right outside the door.

All this excitement, and yet I'm still bored... What gives?
